Photo: The Salvation Army recognized Sharon Considine as a Woman of Dedication for 2012. We also know Sharon as a dedicated volunteer for the Rancho Santa Fe Women’s Fund.

Sharon has been the historian for the Women’s Fund for two years. Since joining the Women’s Fund in the spring of 2007, she has seen the organization reach the $1 million milestone in giving, and she will be on hand in May when we reach $2 million. As historian, Sharon has taken on the daunting task of organizing and compiling our nearly 10-year history into digital and print media for future generations of RSF Women’s Fund members.

A primary focus for her over the next year and a half is to document our history for the 10th anniversary in 2014. To do this, she has been contacting Charter members who began with the group in the fall of 2004, many of whom are still Women’s Fund members. She will interview them about their early experiences in building the organization, where they thought it would be in 10 years, and memorable stories of the lives that have been touched by RSF Women’s Fund grants.

Sharon, like many of our members, is active in other organizations and causes as well, including the Rancho Santa Fe Rotary, Rally for the Cure and the Salvation Army.
