Grants

Each year our membership discusses and chooses areas of focus within the non-profit sector.  The focus areas have been announced for the 2019/20 cycle.  The selected season runs Aug-May each year. This cycle, the areas of focus are:

    • Social and Human Services-including human trafficking, poverty and housing/shelter/homelessness
    • Health Related Issues-including mental health, addiction, disease disorders, chronic illness, disabilities and use of animals for therapy
    • Military, Veterans and their Families

In August for those organizations that serve a community in the one of the areas of focus are invited to send us their Letters of Intent.  These organizations must reside in San Diego County and be aligned with at least one of the following criteria:

  • Organization responds to an urgent or critical need
  • Organization is a BOLD new venture
  • Organization has new approach to time-worn problem
