During a recent meeting, the Advisory Committee made decisions that I wanted to personally make you aware of.
After reviewing our administrative budget for this year and next year’s projections, it became clear that we would need to reduce our expenses or increase the Administrative fee that each member contributes annually.
The Advisory Committee felt strongly that we should look for ways to cut expenses and hold the Administrative fee constant at $250 out of the $2,250 annual member’s contribution. Therefore the Advisory Committee took the following actions to reduce our Administrative expenses:
-
The Advisory Committee also voted to increase the fee for our other meetings to more accurately reflect the actual per person cost of food and beverage provided at the event. In the past, we have subsidized the food and beverage costs out of the administrative budget. The November 7th Annual Meeting cost will be $40 per person and include one drink per person as well as passed hors d’oeuvres.
-
Lastly, the Advisory Committee voted to provide an option for members to pay for all the meeting fees in one payment rather than paying for each meeting separately. The cost to attend all the remaining meetings for the membership cycle (through the May Grants Presentation including November Annual Meeting ($40), February General Meeting ($10), April Meeting/Luncheon ($40) and May Meeting ($40) will be $120. This includes a $10 discount for paying early! If you choose this option, you should be planning to attend all meetings as there are no refunds or transfers allowed. You will still need to RSVP and make entrée selections when required. For those of you that attend nearly all the meetings, it will make it easier to just make one annual payment, and will also help to reduce our administrative time and bank fees. REMEMBER TO MAKE CHECKS PAYABLE TO THE RSF FOUNDATION.
A few other reminders:
If you have any questions about any of the information above, please call me or email me. I will be happy to discuss them with you. Thank you.
