San Diego-based Angels Foster Family Network has selected Inter/Media Advertising of Encino, Calif. for its new advertising campaign designed to help the non-profit organization recruit ideal foster families for kids up to five years old and secure loving homes where the youngsters can get a successful and stable start in the early development years. The ad campaign is partially funded by a grant from the Rancho Santa Fe Women’s Fund.
The agency is developing a 30-second TV spot and 60- second radio commercials. The goal is to raise awareness about the need for foster families, and appeal to those families that can pass the stringent background and financial check that the non-profit requires of its applicant. Angels selects only the finest of individuals to become Angels parents, and they are trained extensively in how to best care for an infant or toddler aged child. Angels is a program of prevention and has successfully rescued nearly 500 babies in 12 years and placed them with foster parents where they have optimum opportunities for early attachment and bonding. When a successful reunification is not possible, many Angels babies are adopted by their Angels parents.

September 18, 2011 - RSF Review RSF Women's Fund hosts author at General Meeting
The RSF Women's Fund kicked off the new year with a stimulating and informative September General Meeting. Dr. Danielle Weiss gave a slide presentation of the latest research to maintain good health with proper weight, exercise and Vitamin D. The meeting was well attended and members and guests had an opportunity to reconnect with old friends and meet new ones.
Many thanks to the event photographer, Robert McKenzie, for providing pictures.

We are off to a great start for the RSF Women’s Fund Grant Season 2012!
I am happy to report that Kate Williams will lead the work group for Arts & Culture and that Jinda Schatz will lead the work group for Education and Research. Diane Murphy will be our Site Visit Coordinator. Thank you ladies for stepping up!
Our two work groups are forming and we have great participation this year from our membership! There is always room for more, so I invite all interested members to contact me and join one of our two work groups. Our Kick-off meeting for the Grants Committee is Monday, September 19tth at 9:30am at The Inn. We will then begin reviewing LOI’s (Letter on Inquiry) on September 26th and will meet once a week for 6 weeks.
We look forward to another great year for RSF Women’s Fund and our combined interest in becoming more knowledgeable and skilled philanthropists.

Members are encouraged to donate gently used, work appropriate clothing and accessories (or cash) to this very worthy cause. More details will follow--but hold on to anything that you may be considering discarding until this event!
