The Grant Process

The Timeline:

      • Early August: Letters of Intent (LOI) form download available on our website
      • September 3:  LOI due to Women’s Fund from organization
      • Late November: Selected organizations will be asked to respond to an Request for Proposal (RFP)
      • January 2: RFPs are due to Women’s Fund office                                                                                                                                     
      • March: After careful review by committee, selected organizations are invited to move to the Site Visit phase.            
      • April: Selected organizations that held site visits are asked to attend a General Meeting and present to the Women’s Fund membership. Voting follows. 
      • May 13:  Grants are awarded                                                                  


  • Only 501(c)3 organizations will be considered for funding
  • Management of the organization (and project) overseen by reliable, ethical and experienced personnel
  • Project plans need to demonstrate the ability to achieve results
  • No organization that discriminates in any way (age, race, national origin, gender, physical ability, sexual orientation, political affiliation or religious belief) will be considered for funding
  • Any organization who has received a grant will not be eligible to receive a another grant for three years.  This guideline will be applied to the organization itself, as well as a given project.  For example, an organization that recieved a grant in 2018 would not be eligible until the 2021 grant cycle.

LOI Details:

The submission deadline for the email of the LOI has been extended to Tuesday, September 3 at 12:00PM.  Download the  2020 Submission Guidelines & RSFWF19-20LOIForm

Some helpful tips for submission:

  • Please be sure your project addresses the area of focus and fits the criteria
  • Be clear and focused about how your organization would make the best use of up to $50,000. Avoid discussing several projects with us, only propose one project
  • Don’t forget to check the box on area of focus
  • Get your LOI to us by the deadline 9/3/19, LATE SUBMISSIONS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.
  • Upon submitting your LOI by email, be sure to requesting an email delivery receipt.
